Sally Jetson is widely
recognised throughout the public and private sector as an expert in delivering
workshops in, and undertaking, conflict mediation, conciliation, grievance
management and resolution and investigation.
Sally has specialist
skills developed over 20 years in harassment, discrimination and workplace
conduct, and in more recent years, expertise in bullying awareness,
management and prevention.
The consultancy
works with over 200 clients, including public and private sectors, from
mining and manufacturing to community groups and the arts, and delivering
a range of organisational and professional development services.
In addition to providing
training and development, Sally provides one-to-one and peer-group coaching
and supervision to professionals, including those working in organisations
and those working as consultants. With post-graduate training in action-based
learning methods Sally brings dynamic and theatrical training methods
which enable the essential integration of theory and practice in the
learning environment.
In more recent years,
her interest in workplace behaviour, conflict and grievance matters
has led to the investigation and review of many matters that have become
the subject of formal or commission proceedings. Whilst generating a
number of newsletters on workplace matters in the area, Sally has developed
a range of sound, user-friendly models of grievance process and workplace
behaviour management that have been successfully adopted by many clients.
In Western
Australia, Sally is the preferred provider for training of HR and managers
in workplace conduct, EEO/diversity, grievance mediation and investigation
for companies such as Alcoa World Alumina and Australia Post. In addition,
Sally is accredited provider of investigation training for Australia
Post in Western Australia with history of involvement with the corporation
since 1990. She has also completed numerous investigations on harassment,
discrimination, bullying and victimisation that have withstood challenge
in external forums and contributed recently to new case law being made
at Fair Work Australia.
Mastery within a particular discipline is defined in competency terms
by the ability to successfully develop those skills within others. This
is reflected in the consistent provision of comprehensive training and
consultancy services for almost twenty years.

Tim
Law
For many years
Tim Law has contributed a broad range of professional and personal
experience to complement the expertise within the SJA team.
In previous roles,
Tim Law assisted managers and employees at Australia Post and the
Department of Defence by providing Employee Assistance Program services.
In addition to
providing high quality short-term interventions for people suffering
stress, anxiety and depression, Tim provides coaching for managers
struggling to respond effectively to difficult staff management issues.
His interventions are based on his knowledge and experience of interpersonal
relations, mediation, conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
His focus is to assist managers find workable solutions for themselves
and their team that result in 'ownership' and transfer of skills.
Tim has worked
in a range of management positions working with volunteers in community
groups and national political campaigns. Several times during his
career, Tim has developed and led a people through difficult organisational
challenges.
He has a decade
of experience in providing management support and one to one coaching
for employees who behave in violent, aggressive and abusive ways.
He has specialist skills in working with employees who have harassed,
bullied or upset others and receives referrals from voluntary and
employer-referred clients. He delivers workshops in dealing with
difficult workplace behaviour and dealing with employees
in crisis.
Tim is an experienced
provider in specialist services for men. He has worked with the Anglicare/Kinway
service Menstime and he provides one to one coaching and counselling
services to men. His interpersonal style is particularly conducive
to developing constructive and respectful relationships with indigenous
men.
As a consultant,
he provides a range of services for community groups such as website
development, promotions and management advice. He has professional
experience in the Aged Care and Psychiatric services arenas and for
five consecutive years was a preliminary judge in the Community Service
Industry Awards for the Department of Community Development.
Prior to graduating
as a Social Worker, Tim had a variety of life experiences, from winemaking
to truck driving, all of which now assist him in finding solutions
relevant to specific organisations and being able to find points to
connect with workers in many industries.

Barbara Holland has had 35 years’ in education, coaching and training,
and has been an associate of Sally Jetson for almost fifteen years.
She specialises in the use of action methods in the learning environment
with expertise in teaching and coaching interpersonal communications.
She
has extensive experience in the anti-discrimination field including
fifteen years in the delivery of training for contact and grievance
officers and the assessment of competency. Barbara provides grievance
management services including the investigation, conciliation, mediation
and resolution of workplace conflicts and complaints.
Barbara
has established and maintained mentoring programs in the private and
public sectors for over ten years, and has mentored and coached managers
in many organisations, enhancing their skills in managing staff, and
work demands. She was appointed in 2002 to the Cannington Education
District Exclusion Panel ( a panel of volunteers who deal with children
recommended for exclusion from local schools) as a volunteer member
and chairperson.
Her interest in resolving organisational conflict led her to complete
a General Certificate in Arbitration and Mediation and practitioners'
certificate in mediation. Barbara is also a member of the Legal Practitioners
Disciplinary Tribunal, a body that determines serious complaints about
legal practitioners, and has been appointed to the State Administrative
Tribunal.Tribunal.
